Chiavari

The business centre of Tigullio is Chiavari. It is one of the more populated in the Genoa province and, because of that, it is considered the capital of Tigullio. Chiavari is very famous, especially between cabaret people, because in Italian Chiavari has some kind of consonance with the word “chiave” that means “key”. The ancient porches of Chiavari are in the heart of the town and are very particular; they take you to the shops, the antique markets an to the “sbarassu”: an appointment where all the shops exhibit, along the street, all the things they want to get rid of, at cost price.
